About the shop

I've been rescuing cats and collecting cat-themed fabric for several decades. Cats have always been a huge part of my life; I rescued my first cat when I was 13. Now, I currently care for 20 rescue cats.

A few years ago, I gifted an unusual folding bag to a friend who inspired me to use my cherished fabric collection to create functional pieces, not just ornamental ones for other cat-loving individuals. Most of the bags I make revolve around cats. The cat fabrics, most of which are now discontinued prints, add a distinctive and unique touch to each bag.

Mooncat Creations isn't just about making bags, it's about supporting the rescue cats that we care for, and the TNR work we do. It's a dream come true to combine my love for sewing and my passion for helping cats.

When I'm not sewing, I can be found at our local Cat Hospital helping to TNR our county's community cats.

Every bag is meticulously handcrafted in my smoke-free home workshop, under the watchful eye of my Supervisor, Isis (pictured below).
